Anyone know when this is going to be on? They say it is coming, but I haven't seen when.

BTW, I have heard a couple of tracks from Songs for the Deaf. It sounds pretty good. Anyone else looing forward to this?

I picked up the new album today. I like it a lot. Best Buy has a good deal on it, $6.99 plus it's packaged with a DVD. I haven't watched the DVD yet so I can't comment on that.

Good stuff, I bought it today and have listened to about half of it so far. Nice to see some "RAWK" bands still doing their thing out there. I really liked the song with the Screaming Trees lead singer, almost wish he was on there more.

Just how many songs does Mark Lanegan (Screaming Trees vocalist) appear on? I picked up the disc this evening at Best Buy (gotta love those 6.99 new releases) and have yet to listen to it, but did notice that his name is listed right along with Josh Homme, Nick Oliveri and Dave Grohl. Also, on their website he is listed as being the sole "vocalist" for the "Q.O.T.S.A. present" from the family tree section. If it's permanent, good addition in my book.

The best buy I went to here had the CD for $11.99 and they wouldn't price match the website which listed $6.99, so I just ordered it from the website yesterday to be picked up at the store today, damn the man! That will learn 'em!

I read an article (Good article btw) on them in Blender last month. (I think) The refer to Lanegan as a full time member as well.

According to the article, Q.O.T.S.A. use a rotating lineup. The only two full time members are Homme and Oliveri. Everybody else, they kind of come and go as they please. Homme more or less said that, if you're good, you're welcome to stay as long as you please, or until you have something else to do. If you suck, you're gone.

The Best Buy flyer this week had the $6.99 price plainly advertised... they wouldn't honor that? Screwed up...

Whatever the case, the album is great, and the DVD has some really cool live concert and studio footage. Definitely worth my $7.

I bought this album based on 4 things:
1). Very good review in Blender
2). Cheap (6.99 at BB)
3). Free Dvd that came with it
4). I like Dave Grohl

And, well, IMHO, I think it stinks.
