Not support on this leg, but on the next and you might get 40 minutes.

boo.... Ash deserve their own tour, not under a band whose genre of music is not even theirs.

I think I heard somewhere that Coldplay said that they were calling it quits and breaking up if this cd doesnt do better than the last one they had. Not sure if they were really serious.

Getting tickets for the Philly show....ike0000, I think this was discussed a few months ago in this forum (remember replying to it) when Chris Martin made that pronouncement in NME...Nothing to worry about. It's just the usual, bombastic remark made by a very talented musical artist....

it took me forever to figure out where to find the password to access the ticketplage for tickets.com for the 9:30 show. $33.50 for two tickets (16.75 for each ticket which included the inane additional charges is not bad, I thought they would be alot more)

Wow your tickets are cheap, I paid approx $36 for one and it's in Portsmouth, not exactly the best venue.

Guster!!!

Love them both...

The best match for Coldplay was Grandaddy when I saw them last year in Filthadelphia.

chicago $2 show 08.02.02

After doing some looking around on the excellent site Pollstar I found out that Coldplay is scheduled to the play the Vic Theater in Chicago on August 2nd. This show was not listed on their website. After confirming from the Vic that they are playing there, I deduced that this show is the next MTV $2 Bill Show (every 2nd of each month MTV2 puts on a secret show for $2 at an undisclosed location.) I think they sell tickets the morning of.

Well anyone in or going to Chicago this could be a real treat. The band really seems to like Chicago as this will be their 4th time there.

I wish I could go, but since I recently moved out of state this will not be possible.

and ya know they filmed the Philly show for HBO, great show by the way. My friend and I didnt want to go to the HFstival to see them since the rest of the festival lineup sucked. Tried earlier in the tour to see them, up in Boston, but that's when Chris the lead singer got his voice all screwed up and cancelled the gig. The fall 2002 dates have been announced too by the way.

Oh my god, the Badly Drawn Boy concert I attended was sooo painfully long, at least two hours in length. Thankfully I had seen him before at the Reading Festival at a much more reasonable 45 minute performance. At the Washington DC 9:30 show I remember Damon getting all upset as to why people were leaving, one patron yelled back "gotta catch the metro, dude" Another lady at the show was heckling him to take off his woolen cap, to the point he really got upset and talked back to her and called her a (c**t - only audible to everyone at the very front of the stage)

Are you mad the show 2 bimbo's in sf only got better when everyone left at 11. they all went home, and he played for another 50 minutes, almost a 3 and a 1/2 hour show.

Much better than the follow up Fillmore show, although he did get annoyed with someone at bimbo's and refused to play the born in the usa cover which is excellent.

That to me is extremely sad... I must've been part of the 15% of people that didn't want the show to end -- would've been easier with seats, but his show was almost like a performance of music and theatre --- him redoing songs a third time (different instruments and all) during the show was amazing...

One of the few shows that kept my attention throughout...
