Anamorphic WS Concert DVD's?
I am interested in getting some but it seems like concert discs provide very little info on the box.
Please list known some favorites in all musical genres that meet this criteria.

Don't know about other genres, but since I'm a lifelong metal fan, most of my concert discs lean toward the hard/rock heavy metal side of things.
Almost every title I have is full screen, with the exception of Godsmack: Live which is 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen.
While it does seem a but odd at first watching full screen, it's obvious these concerts were shot that way and I don't have a problem with it.

Diana Krall: Live in Paris
It's anamorphic widescreen with DTS, DD5.1 and PCM.
2 hour concert, with 2 music videos (also in anamorphic widescreen).
Great disc. Highly recommended.

Most are done full screen with a few exceptions.
The Godsmack DVD is a fine example of how they should make concert DVD's.
While most productions don't really have a preference as to the aspect ratio for them, you would think they would.
A live concert is more than looking at the performers,it the set design as well as the crowd.
Maybe with the specs of DVD,producers may look into releasing and filming in widescreen.

Thanks for the feedback I think I may pick up the Diana Krall disc.
How is the Godsmack concert?(I am also a banger). Good quality? Good show?
Does anyone have The Song Remains The Same?

This has to be the best looking DVD I have seen!!(Godsmack)
It crystal clear/sharp/3-D looking!!!
Its almost as if you were there!
The sound is awsome.
You get a DTS track that is unreal.
If you like them,get it!!

"Paul Simon: 'You're the One': Live in Paris" - in addition to being anamorphic widescreen, this disc is the only one I know of with DD 5.1, DTS 5.1, and PCM stereo soundtracks.

Let's not forget Talking Heads "Stop Making Sense," or The Band's "The Last Waltz," two of the greatest concert films ever made.

In addition to some already mentioned, I offer the following. All have exceptional audio as well as video, BTW:
Led Zeppelin: The Song Remains the Same
AC/DC: Stiff Upper Lip
Peter Frampton: Live in Detroit
ELO: Zoom Tour
