Votes/opinion, please: do we need (m)any more fave/best band/track threads?
It may be just my solitary oopinion but I'm thinking it would be more productive and/or enlightening overall if a threadstarter were to say somewhat more about just what it was (s)he liked about a particular band/album/track/genre or whatever, rather than leaving little more than a list.
A degree of information is shared by simple listings but I'm left wondering just how much they actually say....
.... sometimes there is useful thread-drift but, if the first post contained a little more meat, perhaps there would be more of an interchange of ideas and experiences.
Of course some say that when it is not necessary to change it is necessary not to change (or, "if it ain't broke don't fix it").
The poll is just a side issue: I'd really like to see what people think
