Hows the new Jimmy Eat World CD??? I love their new song "Sweetness" and their first song was pretty good. Do these songs represent the whole vibe of the album? Or are these the only two good songs on it? Thanks for any info.

There were some really great discussions on the merits (or lack thereof) of this album a few months ago, unfortunately, they seemed to have been pruned.

I will say this, I was one of the large vocal supporters of JEW's new cd at the time. I think that I lost the disc (or lent it out) a couple months ago, and I honestly don't miss it. In my opinion, this latest album was not as good as Clarity. Both albums are mediocre at best, imo.

But, if you do like "Sweetness" and "The Middle," of whatever it is called, you will probably adore the rest of the album. Songs like "Your House" and "A Praise Chrous" are adorned with the same buttercake melodies with chunking guitar chords driving the music, periodically stopping to allow the vocals and bass to create the "emo" feel. There is plenty of screams in the album and disjointed lyrics. It can most certainly be very fun music.

I'd suggest buying it if you like those couple songs, but I'd look for it used.

Listened to it yesterday, and still love it. I think you should check it out.

While I like the album, the only song that seems slightly out of place since it really doesnt sound like the rest of the album is the first song: "Bleed America"

For the completists, the UK singles for the "The Middle" and "Sweetness" contain live tracks.
