Since you like the Rushmore soundtrack....try where they got it all...
The box set Nuggets-Artifacts from a forgotten era, psychedelic garage sounds from the 60's.
It comes in two volumes, each with 4 discs, one from the U.S. & one from Britain.

Thanks for reminding me. I forgot all about the O, Brother Where Art Thou? soundtrack and I listened to that a lot and still do.
