Pretty good list. I'm interested in Rygar, Shinobie, DMC2, GTA: Vice City. Though with starting grad school in august and a part time job along with it, I might not have time for them on top of Mario, Star Fox, and Metroid which are already secured on my must buy list.

Kingdom Hearts doesn't interest me as I'm only a casual RPG fan and have never had any interst in Disney characters.

I'm definitely buying the top two games as soon as they are released.

Unless I sell my PS2 first I'll probably get GTA: VC. I'll probably try some of the other games at some point too but I don't have much interest in most of them.

Kingdom hearts won't outsell GTA:VC

And I also think SOCOM will show better than just 9th place.

Personally, I agree with their list as Kingdom Hearts being number 1. I absolutely love the concept. Square is a favorite developer of mine, and well, I hold a special place in my heart for Disney.

The list is the ten best (quality wise), not the 10 best selling games.

I will be getting GTA:VC, Socom, Kingdom Hearts, DMC2, Getaway, and possibly Onimusha 2.

Onimusha is the only one on that list that doesn't interest me.

Those are some great upcoming games for PS2 owners. Also don't forget about Tekken 4!

Yep, I'll almost definitely be picking up Tekken 4. Tekken 3 was my most played fighting game of all time. I liked Soul Calibur better, but I was living in the dorm when I picked up Tekken 3 and played multiplayer constantly. The extra modes in 3 were neat as well.

.hack is already getting an award for underappreciated, I've heard almost nothing about this game from any sites except Gameforms, this looks like a neat idea to me, but I'll wait till it comes out. GTA:Vice, Shinobi, and Devil May Cry are also high on my list to get. I'm also praying that Contra will mark the return of the glory days of Contra.

If they don't screw up the voice acting, Kingdom Hearts will be awesome, its the top game I want on the PS2 right now. Give it a chance josh, who knows you might like it

You don't splurge on Haley Joel Osmet unless you're fairly focused on providing decent vocal talent. I'm sure it'll be a great game. I've been hanging onto a $50 Amazon GC, this is what I think I'll use it on.
Does anyone know anything about Vice City? All I've heard is that it's coming. I hope it's a true sequel and not just an "expansion".

I haven't heard anything about .hack but I like onimusha the only problem I have is everytime I sit down I need to reteach myself the controls. I wonder 2 will have the same controls?
