Red Hot Chili Peppers - By The Way
Heard their new song on the radio recently. I think it's a great tune. Very much in the vein of their Californication material.

Yeah, this has been getting heavy rotation in Toronto for like 3 weeks... it's a GREAT tune and I'm really looking forward to the album, should be excellent...

been a RHCP fan for 13 years, and can't wait for this album!
if anyone lives near Philly, Y100.3 is playing a new tune from the album every day.. unfortunately, we can no longer listen online (see this thread), but hopefully some of you can take advantage of this.
i was able to get 'Throw Away Your Television' yesterday, with an interview with John saying how he used a zappa-like filter in the song, and Anthony saying how the song started out as a chad/flea jam session and he had words in his head that he just started singing.. also says how it's hypocritical because he watches TV himself, but it's about throwing away anything in your life that allows you to be unimaginative.
also, the 'By The Way' video is now up on the official RHCP site.
UPDATE: they're also doing the 'song-a-day' thing on the RHCP site!!!!! all is not lost!
