what is better nhl hitz or nhl 2k2?

Pre-February:
* NHL Hitz = excellent, arcade hockey; especially good for multi-player action
* NHL 2002 = excellent sim-hockey

* NHL 2k2 = outstanding sim-hockey
* NHL 2002 = now-lackluster middle ground
Hitz accomplishes 100% of what Midway set out to do.
The same can be said for 2k2, which redefines what a simulation of hockey should be. Unlike baseball and basketball, Sega blew away a then-very good EA sports game.
Arguing between Hitz and 2k2 seems pointless.

NHL 2002 hands down. I play it on a daily basis. Every other game is sitting on the shelf.
NHL Hitz is fun, but after awhile, it wears out. NBA Jams but hockey.
NHL2K2 - I always found these games to not live up to the hype the publishers and magazines would say. Most realistic game - Sorry, once I saw all the guys skating in a weird crouching style, to me that lost alot of realism points.
Best bet, go out and rent each game. If you like em all, or 2 of 3, grab em.
