Vote on your top 100 Video Games of All Time
Alright, so there was a posting by Original Desmond with a listing of someone's opinion of the 50 greatest games of all time.
And there was much derision...
And there was much mockery...
And there was much "Where's this game!? Where's that game?!"...
Well, let's put our votes where our fingers are (get your finger out of there!) and compile our own 100 Greatest of all time list.
The way it will work is simple --
1) Make a list of whatever length and post it to this thread.
2) Games will be weighted according to the order given them by the poster.
3) Weighting will be as follows (note change in weighting):
-- Games 1 - 10 = 3 votes apiece
-- Games 11 - 20 = 2 vote apiece
-- Games 21+ = 1 vote apiece
The reason behind the waiting was so that no one game could steal a ranking that was undeserving. Say 10 people voted for Super Mario Bros. as #1, but 20 people had E.T. on their lists as #20. Using a straight 1 game - 1 vote system would place E.T. above SMB by a 2 to 1 margin. And then I would have to poke out my eyes.
4) I will attempt to update totals on the list a minimum of once per day. More as my job will allow.
5) Please post the system that the game was published on, or at least the system that you played it on. If you have not played the game, you should definitely not be posting it. These lists are supposed to be subjective!

And, yes, I know that Game X is available on more platforms. The platforms listed are those on which a game has been personally played by the voters themselves in order to qualify for inclusion on the list.

1. H.E.R.O. (Atari 2600) - An overlooked gem. Nice to see it's recognized by someone other than myself.
2. Decathlon (Atari 2600) - Remember when Activision asked you to take pictures of your tv screen when you got a high score??
3. Hot Shots Golf (PSX) - The first golf game that I thought was challenging AND fun.
4. Tiger Woods Golf (PSX) - Not just stroke or match play. Great courses...and taunting your opponent!
5. Air/Sea Battle (Atari 2600) - For me, the game that started it all.
6. Adventure (Atari 2600) - Those dragon's were scary!
7. Tecmo Bowl (NES) - The college game of choice.
8. Sonic the Hedgehog (Sega Genesis) - More addicting than mario.
9. Medal of Honor (PSX) - The first FPS that I could enjoy playing.
10. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 (XBox) - Didn't think I'd like it...now I can't live without it.
11. Ninja Gaiden (NES) - My cousin had this one...I might have to go out and find it.
12. Halo (XBox) - Oh, the possibilities of online gaming.
13. Circus Atari (Atari 2600) - Weird concept, great execution.
14. Little League Baseball (NES)
15. Pong - The Original Pong...the 1976 Pong.
