What video game magazines do you read?
I am currently reading GamePro and EGM, thanks to free subscriptions to both of them. However, I was considering subscribing to PSM and GameNow. Their subscription rates are pretty cheap and I thought they looked pretty good. GamePro has been my favorite so far, but I was curious as to what everyone else looks at?

I've read EGM, but to me it seems it's a little biased towards PS2.
I like Game Informer, that was pretty good. It just had an article on the making of Tony Hawk 4 which was excellent.

I prefer EGM over Gamepro for "all platform" reading.
PSM and OXM are both "fanboy-ish" for their respective systems, I only subscribe to OXM for the demo disc.
PSM I got a free sub somewhere.

I subscribe to Gamepro, EGM, GameNow, and Game Informer. The first three were free offers via the 'net and Game Informer was 10 issues for $10 at Gamestop.com (and you get a 10% discount on used games). Of all of them, I'd only pay for EGM and maybe Game Informer (if I had to get a 2nd). GameNow, imo, is not worth anything, and I actually prefer Gamepro to it (which is saying something). I have subscribed to PSM in the past, and I thought it was worth it (its fairly cheap via sub). I get it free from where I work now, so I never bothered to renew.

I dont pay for mags really, I have the internet why bother? I got EGM and gamepro free, from links here, plus a bunch of other freebie ones (like e-gear, I actually like that one)

EGM-Got 2 years free
Game Now-Got 1 year free
GamePro-Got 1 year free
I will pick up OPM and PC Gamer from time to time for the demo discs. PCXL was the best gaming magazine, ever.

EGM is the only one I read. It's the best written, has no bias, and has the best review system. They tell you what genres the reviewers prefer, so you can only read the sports reviews by the big sports game fans if you're a big sports game fan, as you're more likely to agree with someone who has similar tastes in games.

In my opinion, EGM is the only readable game magazine, and has been for many years now. The writers and editors really know how to write and edit a magazine. There aren't alot of gimmicks and garbage like you find in alot of the other magazines out there (Gamepro Official XBOX). When EGM reviews something, we listen because they have proven time and time again that their opinions can be trusted. Game Pro probably gave Superman 64 a decent review... can we trust them? Game Pro is absolutely the worst gaming magazine I've ever seen, and I can only imagine that it is still around (after the deaths of Gamefan, Next Gen, Incite, etc.) is sentimental reasons. The writing seems like the work of a seventh grader, all the games are rated too high (except the really great ones of course... Parappa may get perfect scores, but Zelda OoT is lacking
), and the layout and design is straight out of a Garfield comic strip. Lame...

I've been trying to find a multi-platform replacement for Next Gen (my favorite game mag, I miss it!). I finally settled on Game Informer. It's not quite Next Gen but I prefer it over EGM or (god forbid) Gamepro.

I get EGM and Nintendo Power, both for free
. They're both pretty good, EGM has a bit more info because it is a multi console mag, I read through them both when they come. Don't know if I'd pay for them though...but I'll figure that out when I stop getting them for free

I read just about all of them, but EGM is definitely the best video mag out there. My favorite game magazines however, are PC Gamer, and Computer Games Strategy Plus or whatever they call it now. The latter has the best gaming (not specific games) related articles hands-down. Mostly because they are the only ones to really put an effort into that area.
Game Now is pretty bad.

I started reading Computer Gaming World when I found out a college friend became one of the editors. She just oft-handedly mentioned it to me one day. Unfortunately, I haven't scored any swag just yet. I like the magazine.
And that's about it. I think it's ten times easier getting info off the net.
