I got a gamecube and controller earlier in the week at best buy. Can i take the compusa flier to BB and get the cost of the controller taken off? I've never done a BB price match before.

That I am not too sure. I am in the same boat as you. So I am planning on going back to Bestbuy to ask them about it (bring receipt and Compusa Ad). Just ask them nicely, told that you bought it for your brother's birthday and you haven't open it. So if they won't do it, then tell them you will consider returning it and buy it at compusa.

Why do people refer to the Game Cube as GCN?

Isn't GC enough?

Is this deal in their weekly ad? What controller is it? I just got my GC from Circuit City a week ago, do you think CC will give me a free controller if I go back there?

Yeah, it was in this weekend's flier. It's the regular GC controller. As for CC, I don't know. I think it's probably a crap shoot to try it at the other B and M's.

That's a good question. I don't know why I used GCN, I guess everybody is using it. I am just a lemming. Anyway, I think GCN will be game cube ninentendo.

I went back to CC to get the deal matched. A sales rep said that they price-match but not deal-match. I told him I will return the GC system that I bought less than 2 weeks ago and then go to CompUSA. He then said "go ahead" in a rude way. I then went to the Return Dept. and state my case once more. I told him that whether they will match the CompUSA deal or not, I will get my free controller. If they don't want to give me the same deal, I'll just return the GC. The guy looked at the CompUSA ad, then checked their inventory on the controller, called the sales rep to bring down the controller, adjusted my receipt, gave me the free controller, and he said "we don't usually do this, but there is no sense losing your money if we don't do it."

The keyword is usually. It means that they do it if you ask nicely and threaten them that they will lose the sale to another store.

Because this is the way Nintendo refers to it.

Nintendo of Japan and Nintendo of America both refer to the the GameCube as GameCube Nintendo; therefore, GCN
