I know you guys don't care, but I am excited about it! This will be the 5th time I have seen these guys. I wonder who they will kill onstage though. I have seen them kill OJ, the Pope (who was also raped), Jon Benet Ramsey, and Jacques Cousteau when they were invovled in big news stories. I bet they kill Osama.
I have to remember to wear a white shirt though, so I can get all the cool blood stains and stuff on it!

I have seen GWAR twice.

I also started a full scale battle between members of GWAR and Techno Destructo at DragonCon one year. I saw Techno wandering around and asked for his autograph. Sen. Bozo and Ballsack saw and started wailing on the guy with their weapons.

It was quite cool.

Slymenstra stopped me in the hallway around 8am asking where the nearest bar was.

I also ran into Techno Destructo at BayCon last year. He's a fun guy. He just decided to show up at the convention with his girlfriend - just to attend some of the parties that saturday night. They both showed up in full costume.

Has there not been GWAR figures until now? If not, I'm really surprised, they are quite a toyetic band.

There have been a lot of GWAR toys over the years. These ones look like what GWAR does when they aren't on stage, while the other toys generally look like GWAR when they are performing a concert.

Ok, that makes sense that they already made toys in the past. I guess they flew under my radar because I'm not really much of a fan.

Not a huge fan but saw them live a couple years back with Napalm Death and thought it was a pretty fun show. Certainly entertaining.

Me neither, but the documentary (streaming on Shudder) is quite fascinating. I watched because I was subjected to a GWAR concert when my favorite band was the opener. We left a few songs into GWAR's set (after the first skit they did, about 3-4 songs in) when we noticed that the plastic sheets the venue had hung over the walls as protection went all the way to the back of the room and there was going to be no "safe zone" from the splatter.

ETA: And how the hell is someone with "Beavis" in their screen name "not a huge fan" of GWAR??????

Do they actually make good music or the appeal is the crazy costumes and theatrics?
