Good Lord! Take a look at the album charts this week!!

Specifically #1 and #3. How very sad (and embarrassing) for all of us.

How can anything be more depressing than "J To Tha L-O!"!? I mean, just that title alone!

I can't stand Creed, but I have to agree that number 1 is the most depressing of all.

Get used to these titles. Because the spring release schedule looks pretty darned bare.

This is what the music industry gets for putting all its eggs into either the boy-pop or crappy R&B baskets.

I like Barry Manilow and will definitely get that CD. It's great to see him back on the charts. I don't care much for J-Lo's music, but obviously many many people do.

Honk!

I thank god that everyone DOESN'T like Bjork, and Radiohead crap.......

the world of music would be alot worse if they did.

Ultimate Manilow? You know while seeing adds for this CD collection, perfectly placed inbetween breaks of Superbowl Highlight films at 2 am on ESPNclassic (WTF???) I said to myself. Self. Isn't Ultimate and Manilow together an oxymoron?

Sadly, "music" is all about marketing these days. Some marketing exec sat down one day and asked "Do we have any bad, yet hot, actresses that can kind of sing, but we can market the hell out of to increase my stock portfolio?" Somebody gave him Jennifer Lopez.

Not at all. I hope it's a promise, as in the last album ever released from Barry Manilow.

Is it dead yet?

OK, so if you held a gun to my head, it's a no-brainer: Barry Manilow would be going home with me over those other 4.

Let me get up on my soapbox.

Popular music is nothing more than food for the ignorant massses that don't realize there is music other than what is on the airwaves. Don't let the radio DJs and the MTV wanna-be teenagers tell you what to like. Go to the CD store and buy 3 CDs from bands you've never heard of before. That is the only way you will discover new music.
