L.A. Confidential: Worth getting?
Saw LA Confidential on cable and liked it. Wondering if it's worth getting it on dvd with consideration to image/sound quality & extras.
Thanks!!!

Oh, hell yes! It's been out for a while, so it's cheap. The transfer and sound are excellent. It's got a bunch of bonus features. Plus, it is an excellent movie. You can't go wrong.

Best picture of the year except it got swamped by that big boat. Spacey and Crowe have won best actor oscars last two years, and Guy Pearce was in Memento and Ravenous.
DVD is beautiful and a steal at under $15.......

I love this movie, it's in my top 10.
It's the type of movie you can watch over and over again.
It was the first dvd I bought.
Excellent picture and sound with a lot of extras.
At $14.99 and cheaper you can't miss !

This is one of my Top 10 movies so I can't recommend it enough. I imagine that it will eventually be re-released but who knows when that's going to be so I'd definitely go out and buy it.

However, besides that stupid thing, I can't recommend this movie enough: they're classy, they're elegant, and they're thrilling.
The picture is excellent, it's dark, and very detailed. The sound is as good as a film can be, and the extras are great.
Bottomline is, get this thing, and you won't be disappointed.

Everyone made a big deal out of Kim Bassinger in this movie, but to me the real stars were Guy Pearce, Russell Crowe and of course, Kevin Spacey.
I think the disc even has Pearce's and Crowe's audition tapes. It's weird hearing Guy Pearce speak with his real accent (Australia or New Zealand) since he hasn't used it in any of his American movies.
So yes, this is a great disc. Get it. Now.

Well, I was going to give a negative review, but since so many people gave a resounding "yes" I will take a look at it again.
Unfortunately, renting will cost $3, so I might as well just buy it at CH for $9.
I guess that means I say "buy" too!
