Apocalypse Now Original Vs Redux
I was given Apocalypse Now original for Christmas, but had asked for Redux, simply because it was the directors cut.
I have yet to open it, and am thinking of taking it back. I have never seen the movie (I know I"m prob the 1 person who hasn't) so my my question is, given the choice of just one, which would use choose?
To add some worth to this topic, I'm basing my choice solely on the replies here.

Since you already have the original in your hands, I'd recommend keeping it and renting redux at a later date. I've got both of them now. I picked up redux when I found it for 17.99 thinking I'd sell off the original. Something keeps me from getting rid of it,though. I like the (miniscule though they are) extras on the original. The added scenes in the redux are a treat, but I don't think they add anything at all to the story.

This should give you more info to base your decision on.
