Review Wanted: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

I noticed Fry's had this for $12.99 and was curious if its worth it. Steven Martin can be funny at times, I think. Leonard Maltin did give it 2 1/2 stars though.

I can't comment on the quality of the DVD, but the movie itself is quite funny. I found Michael Caine to be the best part of this movie. Steve Martin is also good and there is plenty of eye candy(the movie was filmed on the French Riviera). Thumbs up, especially at the attractive price of $12.99.

I agree 100% with what Sweet Baby James said. The movie is very funny, though I may be somewhat biased seeing as how I find Steve Martin to be very entertaining. I have not seen to DVD either, though the movie is very funny, has high replayability, and seems to be a very reasonable price. Some online reviews I have seen have given it quite favorable remarks.

You should be able to find at least one good review there.

I just replaced my vhs copy. Probably one of my ten favorite comedies. The commentary by Frank Oz is informative and quite entertaining (he laughs alot because he hasn't watched it in 13 years) and it's great to finally have the classic, original trailer.

That is probably the hardest I've laughed at a movie scene in my entire life!

Yet another example of Maltin being a dolt. The film is much better than that.

Funny as hell, i've watched it about a dozen times. A must have IMO.

I watched it for the first time last night. There was a funny line when Steve is in the French jail cell and he says something like "You French know what it's like to be with a woman", and Caine's guys says "It is French to be with a woman, it is American to get caught". The first thing I thought of was Bill Clinton. And it's even funnier to me because I'm quite sure that this movie was written before Monida-Gate.

All in all, a very funny movie, although I thought the first half was funnier than the latter. I'll have to check out Frank Oz's commentary sometime. Has anyone else listened? and can recommend?
