A retraction of sorts
Ok my fellow hardcore zero has been wrong. I claim to be so hardcore yet all I od is bash the things I don't yet understand. Yes my friends I'm talking about the XBox. I said before that "It doesnt pay to have a closed mind" I've been doing that about the XBox the entire time. I dont want to buy one at launch, I just dont want to get it for only a few titles. I love what Team Ninja has done with DOA 3, and Jet Grind Radio Future do look promising. I will eventually get one down the line, and when theres something I want on the console. Hell I look at all the systems I do own and I think to myself..."how can I pass up a part of history". Whether it does well or fails I for one just feel bad for being so closed minded and would like to openly say this...
I hope it does well...but until I see something more than DOA 3 make mine Nintendo.

It seems really expensive to try to own every piece of gaming "history." Quite frankly, if I had that kind of money to invest in games, I'd save it for nine months down the line when that money buys whatever new-fangled video card blows all the current consoles away.
There will be good games coming out for every system, but it just seems to make more sense to pick one console, and be satisfied with whatever good games come out for it. If $300 didn't matter to me, Halo and DOA 3 would be plenty of reason for me to buy an X-Box. But that's a lot of money, and, when I look at the situation, I just don't think the X-Box is a very safe bet as a long term investment, especially when Gamecube is getting better industry buzz, and its direct competitor, PS2, has some highly anticipated releases coming, and is entrenched with an installed user base of 20 million.

Well, I find myself trying to buy all of these systems that come out. Most certainly not at launch, but eventually. I try to hang on to all of them as well. Heck I still have my Atari 2600 (I seem to have lost my Sega Master System though).
OK, I didn't have a lot to add, I just wanted to see this cool animation in my post.

As for the game system war.
Ha, I laugh at it. Why on earth limit yourself to only one system if they all have something good to offer.
I bought my PS2 simply for a title that comes out next week (MGS2)
Xbox might not have a lot on release, but i am sure that they will offer something down the line, and from your learning experience. waiting some time is a good thing.
forget about hating a system, just like them for what they have to offer
P.S. i see we're all using SNK Animated Gifs now.
Good thing i been using the same Rock one for the past few days..
