Why are more cubes appearing when my PS2 starts up? Something to do with the types of games I'm playing?

I've noticed some solid cubes in addition to the transparent cubes.

I heard there are certain cubes for ps1 games, ps2 games,and dvds.

The more games you boot up, the more cubes and boxes appear. You'll notive there is a small 60K file on your Memory card, i think that may be the culprit.

Yeah, the more discs you shove in, the more cool stuff you get when you start it up.
