What games have you bought because of this great sale, that you may not have originally bought? and turned out you loved them?

I grabbed both Dave Mirra 2 and Spy Hunter in stores, and turns out I love Dave Mirra, and think Spy Hunter is tons of fun in small does..the games I ordered online are games I would have bought anyway.
I also got Kinetica which I sort of thought sucked.

Metal Gear Solid 2 -- Never was a huge fan of the Metal Gear series, see above.
Crash Bandicoot -- wanna play this first, I loved this series on PS1, but every game in this series is different.
Tony Hawk -- Already have it for PC, hard to beat a GeForce2
Spy Hunter -- Too many driving games already
Silent Hill 2 -- Just couldn't quite make the final cut.

Devil May Cry- OH MY GOD. I simply love this game. It's the only one I have so far, Tekken should be here tomorrow, but this game is amazing. I have never seen a gaem with so many huge bosses. It has a slight glitch to the game, it pauses right in the middle of game play and I'm going to hate to send it back for an exchange. I guess once Tekken is here I won't mind sending it back. I'm gonna miss it cause this game is bada$$. Not bad comsidering that it started out as another game. Thank god it wasn't another Resident Evil game. I'm so sick of those. This is way better.

Of these, MGS2 and TH3 were certain purchases, DMC and GTA3 I was STRONGLY leaning towards getting anyway. I really wasn't thinking about 007 too much, but the recent IGN preview sounded good, and it comes out the same day as MGS2 with free shipping. I don't need to tell you how psyched I am to pick up the jampack
If I had another account, I'd be leaning towards getting Jak and Dexter and Splashdown, but I guess I'll be pretty busy for a while anyways and, to cite the DVD addict's mantra, I can't buy everything.

ps, too bad you can't pre-order Tekken 4, Virtua Fighter 4 or Final Fantasy X -- they're all must-have games as well.

Can anyone recommend other games that would appeal to someone that's not really into games? She doesn't care for the sports or racing games, but has enjoyed Silent Hill 2, even though she won't play it without me there. I sure hope they come out it with more wife-friendly games. It makes it easier to get the games I want.

Metal Gear Solid 2 was going to be purchased anyway, Ace Combat 4 was 50/50, and I had originally decided to buy Batman: Vengeance but changed my mind, then bought it because it was free, then decided I wanted Simpsons: Road Rage more, but Amazon had already qued up Batman so I guess I'm getting that simply because of the deal.

I ordered GT3, Crash and All Star Baseball 2002. I haven't even purchased the system yet. Hopefully, I can do that this weekend.

BigDave asked about wife friendly games. My wife enjoys The Adventures of Cookie & Cream quite a bit - plus we get to play it together, which is a plus. Check the review at IGN.

NHL 2001 - I only got this because of the 2 for 1 + $10 off +$7 off EA deal. I have NHL 2001, and I couldn't bring myself to drop $50 for another hockey game, but this deal was too good to pass up.

Since this other thread was closed and this thread is remaining open (for now), here's a little warning post.

DO NOT ARGUE or TAUNT OTHERS because Amazon cancelled orders or because you're having problems getting things straightened with Amazon. If they cancelled your order, they did it for a good reason. If they charged you full prices, they will make that right by letting you return the order. The way the coupon was supposed to be used was VERY CLEAR (if you are at least semi-intelligent), and anyone who abused it should be ready to take on the consequences.

Anyway, go on listing the games that you bought because of the sale. Let's keep this thread on that only.
