Can you (Geoff) double-dip with this promotion? I.e. you share the love with ALL of us, and not only do you get the Amazon referral credit but also a Share the Love credit? Interesting thought anyhow...

Check out Amazon's Share the Love program. If you buy something at the time of purchase you can recommend it to a friend. That friend is offered a special deal of 10% off the price YOU PAID. It's kinda weird, I guess I should refer my wife, then she should buy what I just bought, then I should cancel my own order and keep the lower one. WAIT then she could refer me, I could get another 10% off, and she could cancel her order... Hmm. Anyhow, if Geoff bought DVDs there, we could buy the same ones at a lower price and he could possibly still get his Amazon Referral credit. PLUS he gets the difference in the price paid credited to his account as well.

Doesn't Geoff get paid in amazon gift certificates?
From what I understand, he uses them as a form of currency in all parts of his life, whether it's tipping the bellboy at a hotel, or a down payment on his house.

Supposedly you are supposed to get the option to share the love when you complete a purchase, but I've tried 4 orders and none of them have allowed me to share the love. Maybe amazon is only letting certain people use this? Anyway I'm disappointed with this.

I was offered to share the love when I ordered Godfather box + Forrest Gump today. I was like, "what the hell" and closed the box. heh.
At any rate, this would be way too complicated for Geoff to run. He should just allow threads for it on the forums. After all, everyone wins -- the referrer, the referee, and Geoff for having someone use his amazon link.

All this talk about Geoff sharing love with us is making me puke. I remember the days of DVD Talk when people didn't talk about this kind of stuff. What happened in the bedroom stayed in the bedroom. Nobody knew about each other's love life, nobody wanted to know. Now, people are specifically asking for Geoff to shoot his love all over the place so that it lands on all of us. What gives...oh wait, never mind.

Didn't Geoff used to permit something like this with regard to DVD Express or no?
If we could use Geoff's referal links in doing it (which I use) then why not? If anything, Geoff would get more out uses of his links.
