Is the name "dvdtalk" trademarked? Or variations such as "DVD Talk"?
There is a new web forum created this May 2001 named "DVD Talk". It is devoted along the same theme and topic lines such as DVD Bargains, DVD Coupons, general DVD discussion topics such as easter eggs, and movies.
Obviously, this site doesn't have the URL "dvdtalk.com". I am wondering if Geoff has reserved other dvdtalk names in advance such as "dvdtalk.to" or future names that have been planned by ICANN and other registration regulatory entities. It also has other forums for general discussion of general subjects such as movies.
It was created this May 2001. It will be interesting to see how EDGY this new web forum could become.<small>

Hmm... Someone has too much time on their hands, the domains http://www.dvdtalk.net , http://www.dvd-talk.com and http://www.dvd-talk.net all point to a message board type site called klat.com ... The first of those three seems to have been set up for no reason other than so some disgruntled punter could post about how "DVDTalk.com sucks" because they change all links to their affiliate links, and don't let people post their own affiliate links

You and me both! Of course Klat is backwards talk which kind of sums him up! All domains were registered by the same firm (Bulkregister) although it is difficulty to say if the named Administrative Contact is responsible....Leeds Richard [email protected]

Looking at the email address, it would not surprise me if Richard Leeds was a pseudonym. Dequilettes, for example is quite an uncommon name and C (Cliff?) may have something to say for himself....
