Record of Lodoss War (Dreamcast)

Anyone playing this? It's similar to Diablo II, but it has some improvements and a pretty decent storyline (sort of an alternate universe type thing with the Lodoss War OAV series).
At this point I'm building up my character's weaponry in the Cold Caves to take out Cardice and then Narse and the Green Dragon.

I'm new to gaming and have never played any of the Diablo games. I am however just getting started in Grandia 2. I love it! I also thoroughly enjoy the Resident Evil games. Based on that, do you think I should try the Lodoss War game??
