There are still some good Laserdiscs that are available that are not on DVD yet. Anyone know of any places online that have relatively decent prices on Laserdiscs? It was a sad day when LVD.com went under....

Check Half-Price Books if they exist in your area.

KenCranes.com still does, but the pickins are slim. Actually, they aren't printing anymore LD's in the states. I beleive they're still printing them in Japan, but I don't know for sure. Anyway, check out kencranes.com and see what's left.

Speaking of LD, are there any places online that still sell Beta?

A place called FancyIsland www.fancyisland.com still does. So does Evolution Audio/Video www.eavlaser.com, Laser Exchange www.laserexchange.com, Laser Land www.laserland.com/source/, Sight & Sound http://www.tiac.net/users/amadeus/index.html and a placed called Laser Disc Shop http://www.laserdiscshop.com/. Pioneer Direct also has a few.

Overall, the pickings are slim. Some of the above may even be totally out. Ebay seems to be the place but even there I have noticed a decrease in disc variety the last couple months. One place you should definitely know about is Jeff's Used LD/DVD Finder http://www.rtr.com/~jeff/index.asp - I use them a lot.

Thanks a ton BigT. That helped me find most of what I was looking for. The pickings are getting slim, but there are still a few worthwhile discs out there... (and in a lot of cases, they're pretty cheap right now)

Thanks again!

If you don't mind used LDs, try these sites: http://www.oz.net/blam/LaserDisc/LD_sale.htm and http://www.bigemma.com/
