I don't do much 4-player action, but I think Virtua Tennis would be the one to get.

The N64 rocked for 4 player games, so when I got the DC I looked for games that would match the N64, here's what I found:

If you like Mario Party, Sonic Shuffle for the DC is pretty good. The load times aren't that bad, and the game is pretty fun.

If you like Super Smash Bros., then Powerstone 2 rocks. All the chaos of a 4 player fighting game with 3D enviroments.

Gauntlet Legends for the DC is good and most sport games are good for 4 players, NFL2K, or 2K1.

Virtua Tennis, Gauntlet Legends, Power Stones 2(3plyr), Quake 3, Unreal, and a few others I can't think of right now.

Good suggestions up above, but I gotta go with Chu Chu Rocket. Having played this with both two people and three, it only makes you realize how much fun it would be with another player or two.

It's basically a party type game where you save 'Space Mice' from 'Space Cats' by getting them into your rocket ship. The party comes through your ability to totally screw your opponents as well as help yourself out. Picture Bomberman on amphetamines.

Here is a review: http://www.dailyradar.com/reviews/game_review_585.html

Happy Gaming!

Forget about the Dreamcast, PLAY SUPER SMASH BROTHERS for the N64!

Second that...

I'll second Chu Chu Rocket... the game is a lot of fun after you get past the whole mouse cat thing... It's a little confusing at first but it's easy to learn and tons of fun with 4 people!

I really like Gauntlet Legends, and the tag team mode in DOA2 isn't bad. Other games mentioned in this thread I haven't played yet though.

SPAWN isn't too bad, and WWF Royal Rumble may be short on features but is a fun 4-player slugfest.
