Do these actually contain 4 DVDs? Or do they jam them on to 1 or 2 discs?

2 discs.

Not going to lie, if the Friday set contains all the original bonus features, I'm all in.

EDIT: http://whv.warnerbros.com/WHVPORTAL/....jsp?OID=50151

If New Line is willing to release those films in pan and scan, I'm assuming that the Ice Cube collection will suffer the same fate.

Fuck you New Line. Oh wait, you're already fucked as you folded with Warner.

2 flippers. The content or disc "images" are identical to existing DVDs/Disc 1s of the standard releases (although with Nightmare 1 I wouldn't be sure if it will be Infinifilm Disc 1 or the single-disc).

I got the Lethal Weapon 4 pack for $7.50 last year, hopefully I'll be able to get the Nightmare on Elm Street sets for the same.

You know, I never got around to picking up the Superman set. I had heard that because it was a 14-disc set, practically every copy had discs dislodge in shipping. But I never wanted to buy the movies seperately. For $10, if the quality is good, I might just pick that one up.

I'm tempted by the Superman 4 pack (I have the original Superman DVD and Donner Cut of II), but I have a feeling it will just be the original snapper case releases, and not the remastered cuts from the more recent box set.

I may have to get the Superman one since it's WS according to here:

I still have the old set with snappers from 2001 so this would probably take up a lot less room.

Nice cover. Throw in a trailer for each and I might be sold.

Can anyone comment on the aspect ratios for the Nightmare on Elm street sets? I just checked Amazon and DVD Empire and both gave me a different ratio for each set.

My guess is this is just the 1st disk of each respective films release. So I would think These would all be in WS and FVJ has both WS and FS options on that side of the disk.

I might pick up The Matrix & Ice Cube sets if I can find them cheap enough. I own Friday and all 4 Matrix's but if there WS and anamorphic I might bite to save a little space

WB did very well this time and are not cheaping out or giving us FS transfers. Thumbs up to them. DVD empire shows back cover art for these titles now. All the nightmare films are available in both WS AND FS. The Superman films are all in WS and all feature commentary tracks and additional special features

For those that are interested, I saw a couple of these new sets for less than $10 ($9.88 I believe) at Sam's Club. At my local store, they had NOES 5-8, but not the first four.
