Vincent Price w/ Minimal Double Dips?

Is there a list of which sets and individual releases to buy to get the most out of Vincent Price titles? I asked this recently on Alfred Hitchcock and got great information. I'm looking for best transfers and special features so list both if one has lots of extras and the other has the better transfer.

This was sparked by Fox Horror Classics Collection Vol. 2's Dragonwyck.

Also, are the titles in the Vincent Price: MGM Scream Legends Collection suggested over the Anchor Bay versions?

I don't remember any of the movies in that set ever being released by Anchor Bay, those were all MGM releases and most of them were MGM Midnite Movie releases. They are all the same as the MGM releases.

I meant MGM Midnite Movies I don't know what I was thinking. Either way does anybody know of a definitive list of which sets to buy?

Do you want every Vincent Price movie or just the list of MGM horror? Or just all Vincent Price horror? I don't think there is much overlap to worry about other than the MGM Scream legends is a collection of some of the MGM releases. I would recommend the box set as it is probably the most cost efficient. It's possible that they might release a second volume in the future so you might want to think about waiting but if not, you can buy all the rest of the double features. I think they're all pretty available except the Raven/Comedy of Terrors. That one can be found but you might have to pay a bit more for it than the others.

If you get into the public domain releases then you will probably find tons of overlap. I would avoid all those releases. If I have time later, I will try to start a list for you. But I'm sure someone else will beat me to the punch.

As stated, go with the aforementioned MGM Scream Legends set. You won't find a great surplus of extras on most Price DVDs, there are a few short documentaries that I believe are exclusive to the Scream Legends box.

If you're really a fan, the best DVD in terms of content is Vincent Price: The Sinister Image. A great one hour sit-down interview taped for television in the 80s (so they could only do so much with the image/sound quality, but content-wise it's a very warm & informative interview). And neat extras like a 30-minute radio program, and 2 obscure TV episodes he did.

In fact, right now it's on sale for only $10 directly from the DVD company:
