I noticed that Best Buy had a lot of those $5.99 & $7.99 titles on sale already. I picked up Idiocracy today.

Thanks, Speedy! Can't wait for that Batman Steelbook!

$39.99 for Fastlane is a bit much for a series that has been off the air for awhile and only one season. Hopefully the price will fall in the next few months.

Thanks for posting the ads speedy!

Huh, I was just wondering the other day if Jake & the Fatman would ever show up on DVD. Not something I'd buy, but it'll be neat to revisit via Netflix.

Not to piss on steelbook fans, but no way the Gotham Knight steelbook could be as cool as the bloody awesome die cut, foil-stamped, lenticular slipsleeve the regular 2 disc has.

I mean, ALL THREE of those silly terms (oh, the early 90s and comics...) in ONE COVER? AND SMART DESIGN/USE OF THEM?
MADNESS!

I'm just happy it's finally coming to DVD. I LOVED that show. A total guilty pleasure. I'll pay the $40, unless I can find it cheaper elsewhere.

And think how much cooler still the slipcover will be with a big, white Best Buy price sticker on it!

I wasn't planning on getting the Batman Begins Giftset, but seeing as it's only $27.99, and comes with a free ticket, I think I might cave.

I will be getting the steelbook of Gotham Knight as well.

Thanks speedy!

Could the steelbook possible look like this? That's cool, but I'll still check out Target first. They've been known to "typo" to get people into their store in the past.

Not to seem ungrateful or anything, but that won't even get you a small drink. Seems a touch on the stingy side.

We talk about this alot at CAG.

The consensus seem to be to show up about 2 hours before store open to secure a premium place in line (as you may start the line). This way if they only have 20 units, you're pretty much assured of getting one.

During the Troy fiasco (which was a BB Wii sale date), I showed up at open to find 60 people queued up for the Wii. Whilst they scrambled to get to customer service for the Wii, I walked over to the third C/S line and started my argument for the Troy Ultimate Director's Edition (which I ultimately one).

Good luck my man.

Please let me know how you make out on this....

Have a GREAT 7/4/08!

That is cool but there's nothing like that in the ad.

What's shown is the new, restylized Bat logo.

It's that symbol set against a black backdrop with the words :

BATMAN
GOTHAM KNIGHT

above it.

Also, one cautionary note to us all about the "Steelbook" status of this title.

While I certainly hope that this does come in a Steebook, the ad wording is as I listed:

"Best Buy Exclusive: Steelbook box art plus, free character guide included, when you buy Batman: Gotham Knight 2 Disc Edition".

The picture shown on Page #6, upper left corner appears to be small than a DVD size keep case.

I'm keeping my on this one.
