James "Hey Ma!" 4/7/08 (Reunion album!)
Tracklisting:
1. Bubbles
2. Hey Ma
3. Waterfall
4. Oh My Heart
5. Boom Boom
6. Semaphone
7. Upside
8. Whiteboy
9. 72
10. Monsters and Heroes and Men
11. I Wanna Go Home
I don't see any US release as of now. I'll be cautiously optimistic about this album since Tim Booth's solo album and the last actual James album I found disappointing (having said that, Getting Away With It is in my top 5 favorite James songs). Anybody heard any of it yet?

it's all fine and dandy to do a reunion album - but it's a tad overkill when the previous tour, album, and DVD all say 'farewell' tour - needless to say, I'm anxious to hear the new album.

I think Millionaires was the only one without a US release, actually. Pleased to Meet You and Getting Away With It were both released here. That's not counting collections - there have been quite a few in the past few years that were UK only.
I liked the later James albums as well as his solo work, so I have high hopes for this one.

Okay this album sounds very very James..
And some of the songs - Waterfall in particular reminds me of Lloyd Cole.
On first listen I think I'm going to love it. The album has only the smallest tinge of anti-war

I got this today from CDWOW. $15.50 shipped. On first listen, I love it. James message board says that the band has stated in interviews that they will be in the states in August/September. One of the best live shows of my life was James in the early 90's.

it's a good James record (new one)...they don't blow me away like Placebo or Muse in the diversity arena, but they're mostly consistent...I just keep waiting for them to write another catchy-as-hell track like "Destiny Calling" - but that's been a long time...

as for the album - for a first impression it's pretty good, some of the songs and pacing seems a tad repetitive, will give it several relistens.

From Facebook.
James have hit the States to promote the up and coming US release of Hey Ma. They are already receiving a welcoming review from the press including Billboard who announced “Veteran U.K. rock act James has inked a U.S. deal with Decca Records for the release of its first new album in seven years."Hey Ma" will be released Sept. 16 and will be supported by as-yet-unannounced North American tour dates.”
