These weekly threads are for the posting and discussion of that particular week's store exclusives and freebies.

These lists will likely be incomplete until Thursday or so, since DVDs are released on Tuesday and one of us needs to visit all the stores to confirm things.

Volunteers needed: I regularly go to Best Buy, Circuit City, Target, and Walmart; but don't visit the other stores every week. Though I don't yet have anything to add to this week's listings, over the weekend I did add 9 heretofore unmentioned exclusives to previous weeks' threads. Like many in this forum, I make it a point of keeping track of all these retailer incentives and do my best to pick up those that I like (even though I too wish they would all just go away). Trevor, I feel your frustration and I apologize in advance for giving you more crap to track down.

Anyway, here are the thread dates to which I recently added new exclusives:

By the way, I was only able to go back as far as the first week of the "new" format (the last week of July, as I recall). How would I be able to check weeks prior to that? I'd like to both see what others have posted, as well as possibly add to the list if I have additional items.

I'm actually getting better. I track the stuff down for these threads, but I'm not buying everything anymore. Hopefully this trend continues.

I keep everything in an alphabetically list by store in "master thread" linked in each of the weekly posts and in my sig. I am several months behind in updating it though. I think it is current through July/August when we changed this from one thread to a weekly thread.

Does anyone have any news on the 'Across The Universe' third disc from FYE? I will have to buy mine from Suncoast and I really need to know what's on it before I pay nearly double Target's price for it.

it has a feature on the locations used on the movie and is priced 24.99 in store. for an extra $10 i dont think its worth it.

i believe so! prints out along with your receipt at the register.

To be specific, it is a little hardcover book with song lyrics and pictures from the movie, according to the packaging.

Quick and final (from me) update for the FYE "Across the Universe" exclusive.
I paid $24.99 for it (at the Eureka, CA FYE) and got a $7.00 mail-in rebate.
However, when I pre-submitted online, it did not allow me to upgrade to a $10.00 virtual gift card.
Still, $17.99 for the 3-DVD edition seems like a pretty good deal to me.
Thought y'all should know...

i have not yet submitted my rebate yet, but it seems the $10 gift card is kinda random. i dont follow the reasoning. and btw, you get 10% off with a back stage pass ($25/year membership), which saves a couple bucks

i thought this weird too. maybe its a mistake, but in-store pop stated beowulf releases on 2/19.

yesh, info is on the rebate form that is printed at the register. for across the universe, original receipt dated 2/1/08 - 2/16/08 and postmarked by 3/16/08.

Does anyone know if you can pre-order the Beowulf steelbook online? Maybe I'm blind, but I see no mention of a steelbook in any of the listings for Beowulf on FYE.com (I don't really live too close to any of their stores, and I'd like to place an order before Monday if it's available online).
