Haven't seen the trailer, but judging from the pics and plot it seems like a return to his Black Rain style, which is one of his most underrated IMO.

You were impressed by 1492 and G.I. Jane?

Given my love for Black Rain (his only other crime drama AFAIK), I'm stoked for this. Washington looks like he'll be great in this, and Russell Crowe finally looks like he got the rugged tough-guy role I've been waiting for (Gladiator doesn't strike me as "tough guy" however). Also, the older brother from The Goonies keeps getting work. Amazing.
Between this and the fantastic Zodiac, 2007 should be a great year for true-crime movies.

Denzel Washington Kicks-ass & I'll see anything he does, Hes one of those actors that even if the movie is bad he's still good.
i find Russell Crowe about as intresting as a tree branch but he might be good in this movie, Can't wait ti'll it gets released on DVD.

Damn, I didn't know this was coming and to me that trailer kicked ass. Denzel Washington and Chiwetel Ejiofor together again? I thought they were great in "Inside Man" and I had hoped they would work together again. I'm not sure how big Chiwetel's role is but I'm sure he'll bring it.

I thought for sure this movie would be getting a lot more attention because of Washington. Oh well, I guess its because its not about Italian mobsters or Russian Gangsters. Looks interesting.

I saw this at a sneak screening in Pasadena a few months ago the film looked clean and well edited which was surprising for a film that has a release date that far into the year so I think the only reason they have held back on the release is so it can get some Oscar love.
The Film was very good both Washington and Crowe were great as usual. And even though it wasn't Ridley Scott's best film to date it was never the less a damn good film.

Trailer didn't impress me at all. I had heard this was originally supposed to be directed by Antoine Fuqua, which is nowhere near the director that Ridley Scott is, however, I think Fuqua would've made the film a bit more grittier. As it is, Denzel doesn't even come off like a bad guy in the trailer.
