Amazon BOGO TV Box Sets & 55% off S1 sets...

Ripped from SD (with thanks to ryu911):

BOGO Sale

55% off Season One sets

Now, I do think they messed up a bit, since there are sets like the Alec Guinness set and the Peter Sellers set in the "TV Box Set BOGO sale", but who's complaining, right?

Enjoy!

Thanks. I noticed they posted the BOGO Sale last week, but took it down over the weekend. Glad to see it back up.

Interested in the Werner Herzog Collection, not sure what else I'd get though.

You should wait. DD and DVD Planet had it as part of a B1G1 sale on Anchor Bay titles and it was listed for $40-something rather than over $80 like it is on Amazon. That's insane.

edit: I guess it's the Herzog/Kinski set that's over $80 right now. Both that and the Herzog box were $40-something at the DD b1g1 sale though, so the point stands.

The Werner Herzog Collection is only $35 on Amazon. I'm probably not buying it anyways, can't find anything to make it worthwhile. Thanks though.

how do we know if this is legit and they won't charge us for the free one after we've opened them.

Do we have to put up with someone saying this crap every time Amazon has a sale?

The fact is that those that participated in that other sale (and yes, I was part of that group), knew we got a better deal than we were supposed to. It said "buy one get one free," not "ask for these 2 sets and we'll send them to you for free."

If the sale reads "buy one get one free" and your checkout price reflects that, then you have nothing to worry about.

Yeah. I'm confused. Are people that retarded that they can't see they're being charged for 2 things instead of one? If so, you deserve to be "ripped off".

That's a great price on Lost in Space. More than 20 bucks less than DD.

I didn't think the deal was too bad. I picked up Grounded for Life S1 and S4 for $29.99 to my door. That's only $15 per season. . .and DDD's sale won't beat that price.

I just picked up Season 2 at Columbia House for $19.95 with free shipping. I'll wait on Season 3 because that's a cheaper set for some reason (only $12.06 currently as DDD).

I didn't check the prices because I already have them, but I saw Arrested Development and Titus, all seasons, are included in this sale. Both great shows.

The Amazon checkout seems like it's scamming you because the free set doesn't show up until the very end. Just check your total before confirming.

I wasn't part of that fiasco of a sale before, but I've never had a problem with Amazon before.

Oh! And thanks to bwsmom for the post -- always one to sniff out a great bargain!

I wasn't part of the free deal, but I have had nothing but good from Amazon. I am a prime member, and I buy from them all the time. They have always done right by me and even refunded money when they have made minor mistakes.

This particular sale though, doesn't interest me.

Grounded For Life Season 3 is cheaper because it's a very short, two disc, season. The show switched networks that year which resulted in only 13 episodes being aired. A lot of the episodes ended up carrying over to Season 4, which is why it has 28 episodes in it.

Yeah, I agree, they're only worth dealing with when you can rip them off with exploits.

I've never had a bad experience with Amazon. They always have some nice finds and good sales, and their shipping is quick.

If you order more than two items at once from the BOGO sale you will be charged for the most expensive items and given the cheapest ones free. You need to pair up similarly priced items and place separate orders.

I didn't like that Amazon Prime @ $79 would charged to your account after a 3 months if you don't cancel.

That's how every "limited trial offer" always works.
