ZILTOID THE OMNISCIENT is going to be the invasion of the year!

http://www.myspace.com/ziltoidtheomniscient

Ziltoid The Omniscient, a 4th dimensional alien has come to earth and is currently hovering 5 miles above Qatar. Beaming messages to the earth, including video, music, and words, His Omniscient- ness has one dimension up on us humans, allowing him control over time. But, in order to bend time he requires the perfect fuel - BLACK COFFEE - found in abundance on only one planet in the omniverse... Earth. He plays guitar and sings, is moody and a bit sensitive with his first record due in late June. Surrounded by nymphs and prancing plasma beings, the album was produced by Devin Townsend in the hanger of the Ziltoidian space barge. All hail Ziltoid and his Infinity metal! Prepare your finest brew!

Devin makes some pretty interesting stuff. What I've heard is pretty cool, but I don't think it will be one I'll buy. Maybe a lala acquisition.

There are samples on the myspace page, in case others are interested.

OMG that shit is hilarious. I had no idea what this was but I guess I shouldn't be surprised it's Townsend.

Guy seems to have a LOT of time on his hands for music.

This site has Ziltodia Attaxx!!! up if anyone wants to listen to it or add it to their myspace pages. This album is really great and the songs have a Mars Attacks!/Star Wars feel to them. Also don't forget to check out the official page.

There will be some webisodes up soon where Ziltoid interviews people in different bands like Soilwork. It should be cool to finally see Ziltoid in action.

I can't wait!

Is this a good thing or bad thing? Are we supposed to welcome these alien invaders or kill them?

I'm not sure exactly but I've heard that the 2nd disc which may or may not be a dvd has a bonus track and some multimedia content. I think there may be an interview with Ziltoid and Bjorn from Soilwork and there may also be a video with Devin Townsend showing you how he got his guitar sound on Ziltoid.

Also Ziltoid has beamed another message from his myspace "Not My Space".
