Question about DDD return policy

I placed an order a for 4 DVD box sets on there B1G1 free promotion. Problem is, my girlfriend placed the same exact order not knowing I had already ordered them. I called within a couple of hours, but DDD told me there was nothing they could do, and told me when the DVDs arrive, to refuse the order. I was working though, and the mailman just left them on the porch. So my question is, now that I have to return them... is the there return policy any good. I just don't want to send them back and have DDD claim they never received them or something fishy. Also should I pay for a delivery confirmation on the package when I send it back? Thank you...

You can still refuse delivery. Take the unopened package to the delivering post office and tell them it's a duplicate shipment and you're refusing delivery. They'll take it and return it to sender. I had to do this once...no problem.

Actually, Jericho, my experiences with DDD have been good. Any returns have been properly processed and one missing box was replaced.
