note to HBO - fuck off with the part 1/2 crap...They should have postponed this release until May and just made it the COMPLETE third season (the back 8 have been in the can for months, with a fourth season already in the works)... This kind of stuff is starting to become unacceptable...and no HD DVD release? WTF? If I didn't love Entourage as much as I do, I'd boycott.

Yeah, what's up with this part1/part2 crap? I noticed they did this for the latest sopranos show too. Glad I'm not a fan of these shows, I'd be pissed too. I hope it's not a matter of time until other titles start getting this treatment too, or I'll be pissed off then. Shit, now I'm pissed for the rest of you!

I don't like it either, but it is economics to them. They can sell the Part 1 and Part 2 both at regular dvd pricing. Fans will pay for them both, they have a nicer price point, easier to get people to try it, easier for Netflix and Blockbuster, etc. I hate it though, the same as all of you.

I agree.
I don't like them splitting things up.
But man, I can't imagine how much HBO would charge for a 20 episode season of Sopranos, let alone Entourage, which is on the cheaper end of their dvds.
It seems once the shows go from 30 minutes to an hour.
The prices go....bang! zoom! to the moon!!

I wouldn't be so against the 2 part stuff if it wasn't for the fact that these parts cost more than entire seasons of other series that contain twice as many episodes. 40 bucks or so for 8 - 10 episodes to me feels like a complete ripoff which is why the only season I own of Entrourage so far despite my loving it is the first season because I got it on sale for 18 bucks.
Lower the price of those Sopranos and Deadwood sets as well as Entourage and I'll buy all of 'em!

I wouldn't mind this so much if they just called them seasons instead of part of a season. Season 1 was only 8 episodes and season 2 was, what, 12? So I can see the price being the same. I just wish they'd quit trying to convince us that these are the same seasons when there's a 6 - 11 month gap between first and second parts. At that point, I don't care when they were filmed. If I have to wait that long, it's a different season.
