Another quick Optimum boxset celebrating Catherine Deneuve. I am however not so sure this is such a good idea. The selection looks...strange:

THE UMBRELLAS OF CHERBOURG,
BELLE DE JOUR,
DONKEY SKIN,
MANON 70,
PLACE VENDOME and
LES VOLEURS.

It would be interesting to see what print they use for Cherbourg.

Street date is March 12.

I'd imagine not but I could be wrong. I'd expect 1-2 of them perhaps (like Belle de Jour's 40th Anniversary release). Optimum (like the previous rights' holder, Warner UK) tend to like boxsets as they have a single order code and are much easier, tidier and cheaper to sell. The bad thing though is if the item goes OOP everything in the set disappears.

It's unfortunate but if it gets the film on DVD it's acceptable behaviour especially as the DVDs can be rented individually in the UK.

coverwork update as well as title-updates. Notice that the boxset is down to 5 films only as the Artificial Eye released Place Vendome is missing from the initial line up noted above.

I still think that this is a very strange selection of films.
