Thanks for the info.

I saw this in theatres, about a month ago. I enjoyed it. I'm definitely going to pick it up. I'm a pretty big fan of Sofia Coppola's films.

They really should hold back on Marie, since everyone and their seeing-eye dog knows it's gonna sweep the techs at the Oscars.

I certainly hope so! This is one of the most beautifully shot movies I have ever seen before!

Too bad its a Sony release, but will be picking this up since no chance for a HD release. Unless I happen to score a discounted BD player tommorrow (crosses fingers).

I'll admit that I was extraordinarily turned off by the trailer... I'm assuming that the trailer really wasn't indicative of how the movie actually was paced?

We went to see this last week, and I thought I'd be bored, but man it was really entertaining. Beautifully shot, and amazing costumes and decadant desserts. Not nearly as much use of the modern music as I had thought / hoped, but it was well-used.
BTW to Sofia for using 3 Bow Wow Wow songs including Aphrodisiac.

Hopefully the actual film didn't have a bunch of totally inappropriate music like the trailer did? I actually like the song but it in no way fit with the theme IMO.

That's what I was thinking... although SPiRAL's comment makes me think that it did.

Actually, the soundtrack was one of the more memorable things about the film.

This is one I would pick up because it deems to be re-examined. As I don't have a BD player yet I'll have to wait until I have something that plays BD movies.

there could've been a lot more that they were probably planning, but held off because of the length of the film.

That didn't answer the question though.

I actually like the artwork. It's a very gorgeous shot of her.
