Sometimes I find myself searching for a specific post by a specific poster... or other times, I just want to stalk Bandoman. It would be handy if there were a space on the search form that just searches for user names, and then returns their profile if there's an exact match.

How much extra work would that be? Could it be done?

There already is one... Click search, advanced search, put in username box. There ya go.

Yeah, I do that all the time - it's quick, it's easy, and no one gets hurt. Usually.

You can also search somebody's name by clicking on it in a thread:

Duh, people! Duuuuh!

I knew about those options. But those require me to click-click-click! What I want is a quick way to just jump to a members profiles... or at the very least, an easy way to just find threads started by a certain poster.

Example: let's say I know that WhoGirl started a thread in 2005. How would I find that thread? Well, I'd do a search for posts by WhoGirl. Then I'd find one, and click her name. Then I'd go to her profile and click "Find threads started by WhoGirl". Then I'd search through those posts until I found the photo I was looking for!!!
