Use frequent flyer miles for HD DVD player!
For those who have Continental Airlines miles:
Got to www.continental.com
Log on to your OnePass account.
Select the Frequent Flyer tab.
Select Use Miles->non-travel rewards
Click on Miles for Merchandise
After you create your Miles for Merchandise account go to electronics --> dvd players.
Apparently you can do it with Amex as well.

I have a feeling people are overlooking this deal.
Folks, the price is $363.86 (plus 100 miles) shipped. That is a bargain. I ordered one last week and I am waiting for it to come. Someone on Fat Wallet posted that they ordered it last week and it took 4 days to arrive.

This is a great deal...the problem for me is I don't have the 100 miles to do it. From the looks of it, it will take 6-8 weeks for my account to get credited the miles from a qualifying purchase. Anyone know of a way to get miles quicker?

Just bumping this up... the AVS thread here pointed out that you can actually transfer your AMEX points to miles (using the menu option conveniently titled "Transfer Points Into Miles").
So, if you have some amex rewards, you can just transfer a few of them (1000-2000, there are differing reports) to get in on the $363.xx shipped deal. Looks like the ones going out now are a July build with the 1.4 firmware.

Great deal. I just got mine delivered yesterday. The build quality is quite nice. It actually matches perfectly with my HK receiver (glossy black top with silver bottom on the front).
Fantastic deal on the A1 and at $160 off the current selling price, this is bar-none the best deal going on this player right now.

The upscaling ability is also excellent. It's addicting going back and popping in all my old DVDs to see how much better they look now.

For those without points, buy a magazine subscription from Continental - only takes a $5 subscription and there are several under $10. My point were credited in less than 10 days - I think it was 8 or 9. I ordered my magazine on July 24 and my player on Aug 3. Absolutely great deal.

I ordered mine on July 28th and I called yesterday and they said they are waiting for players from Toshiba so it might still be a little while before we get them. I would call about your order to make sure.
I have 3 HD-DVD's on my shelf and I am dying to get my player in
