a problem with Halloween: 25th Anniversary Edition DVD...

So, I just got this the other day, and in turning it on for the first time this evening, the movie always defaults to the commentary track. Even if I go into the Audio menu and select a different sound setup, returning to the movie still leaves me with the commentary playing. The only way I can switch the audio is while the film is playing. Anyone else encounter this or know what's going on? Thanks for any help.

From: Right now, my location is DVDTalk, but then again, you should already know that, shouldn't you?
Sounds like a player glitch...you wouldn't happen to own a Toshiba, would you?

It's a Sony.

Yeah, probably an issue with your Sony.

I had a similar issue with Force 10 From Navarone on my Panasonic S55. The french subtitles kept automatically playing, and the only way to stop it was by using the subtitle button on the remote while the movie was already playing. It wouldn't honor my subtitle menu selections.

Doesn't happen on my Denon 2910 though. So, out went that Panasonic piece of shit player.

Sometimes my player (Panasonic) will default to English subtitles. It happens quite often with my sister's DVDs, but rarely with mine - it's weird.
