It did not have a case in the box, just a plain white paper disc envelope with a front window that showed the disc art.

Circuit City also had a bonus disc for A Series of Unfortunate Events that had the trailers and a multi-angle featurette. These features are not on either the 1 disc or 2 disc release of the film.

The bonus disc was inside the single DVD release only.

The Aviator was available with a bonus disc at Wal-Mart. I don't know if any other stores had it.

The one correction I noticed is in the Star Trek sets. The early seasons of TNG (I think 1-5.. I could be wrong) had CD-ROMs, not DVDs, as bonus discs. From DS9 on they all had DVDs. Good luck!


Edit: I didn't see it at a glance, but Best Buy has that exclusive Serenity promo disc.. which if anyone has one they don't want...

I think maybe we should skip these lists.

There are hundreds of music CDs that include a free DVD in some or all packages.

The video game list wouldn't be so bad, but maybe should be a separate thread in the Video Game forum.

Walmart also had a bonus disc with Son of The Mask that contained the first two episodes of the Animated Mask series. It came in its own case ala The Aviator and Friday Night Lights.

Also on the CD issue, we should just stick to move related cd's in this thread. For example The Gods and Generals score came with a bonus dvd that had delated scenes not found on the real dvd. The Jackass soundtrack came with a bonus DVD that had music vidios and some extended clips from the film. I also know that the deluxe edition of the Blade Trinity cd comes woth a bonus DVD, but I don't have that one so I can't tell you whats on it. And as you all know, the Star Wars Episode III Score came with a bonus DVD as well.

It's hardly an exclusive item since every single one of them sold in every retailer will have the same bonus disc anyway.

Target also had bonus discs with Team America and The Spongebob Movie. The Team America disc had a Crank Yankers episode on it. I'm not sure what Spongebob had though.

I got a free "Sin City" preview disc at WalMart yesterday when I went through the checkout. Says on the disc "A WALMART Exclusive"

Sounds similar to the BB one if I recall. There is a thread here somewhere that lists the contents of the BB one.

Any chance you could grab me a copy of the Wal-Mart one? I need it for....research...yeah...that's it. I just need it for the list's sake. I'm not an insane ocd completist or anything. I didn't drive to my local Wal-Marts looking for it and get strange looks from the employees there. No, nothing like that. I just need one for the DVDTalk timecapsule we'll launch into space someday.

Seriously though, I have extras of a lot of these DVDs if anyone wants to do some trades.

I tend to be the same way, but I will only pick up a bonus disc if it has extra content for that movie that I am buying. I hate it when the extra discs just have trailers for upcoming films from that studio.

I think that the Smallville bonus disc is not an exclusive. If I recall, many WB sets include these extra discs highlighting other shows. They are available at all stores. But maybe I'm wrong?

Yes, the Flash disc is in all of the sets... it isn't exclusive to any retailer.

I saw on their site that there is going to be a bonus disc with Cinderella. I think it is a collection of Disney songs from all of their different films.

That free Rome DVD really pisses me off because throughout the ENTIRE episode, they have the huge HBO logo in the background, (although it is faint). I just turned it off after about five minutes. I know this is done to prevent piracy, but in my case it backfired on them because I ended up never even watching the episode. Did this piss anybody else off?
