Amazon has just posted Fraggle Rock: Season One for pre-order. It comes out September 6th. No other details right now except that it's five discs (!).

AWESOME! I just rented some of the current discs this past week and forgot how MUCH i loved the show. I am so getting this and just in time for my b-day. I know what I'm asking for now. Now hopefully Amazon is right on this, they are known to have wrong dates from time to time.

Yes, I'm so getting this! I hope all seasons make it in timely fashion.

I am also pumped to get this set. I picked up the 1st disc when it was a Wal Mart exclusive just to make sure I did my part on showing interest in getting Fraggle DVD's, although since I have not picked up any of the other discs because that is not how I buy TV on DVD. As most of us do, I prefer sets not these best of discs. ANyway great to hear its coming HOPEFULLY on September 6th!

Amazon.com has posted some information on the bonus features we'll find on the Fraggle Rock season set. They are:

* Replica of Jim Henson's "Fraggle Rock" notepad
* Behind the scenes documentary narrated by Jim Henson
* New interviews with "Fraggle Rock" cast and creators
* Deluxe embossed collector's box

We can also tell you that the set will include a CD-ROM filled with fun Fraggle things, including wallpaper, games, and more. It's likely that there will be more added to the extras list as well.

They also have cover art there, but oddly enough, only in my Wish List, and not at the actual page.

FYI - I saw this out at my local BB with a $37.99 sticker on it. No idea if it was cheaper than that. Did it come out early or did they just jump the gun? Seeing as how it is only $31.49 on Amazon makes me think they've got a pre-release window on this title and next week it'll be cheaper.

No dice at my Super Center Walmart today, they didnt have it. Anyone pick this up at Walmart? Pondering if I should check back tomorrow, hoping for good "first day price" or just order it online and wait the week.

I found my copy early at BB last week too, w/ bonus disc and all. As far as I can tell from the episodes I've seen, each one has the full opening credits unlike the complitation disc where only the first episode had the credits. Nicly packaged too.

This really does seem to be a nice set: well packaged, good picture and sound, all intact (I think), good chapter stops, and just the excellence of Fraggle Rock. Great set!

I haven't watched any of it yet, but the packaging is very impressive. And a 5 DVD set for 30 bucks (Best Buy) is a great deal.

Now, where to find the time to watch this when I am still finishing the Muppet Show, MwC Season 4 and Monty Python's Flying Circus???

I just checked the first disc, and yes, it has closed captioning but not DVD subtitles.
