Decent collection - but it just misses too many tracks (Down and Out, Unwound, Amarillo By Morning, King of the Mountain) that are essential - mostly from his first two albums. That's the problem with collections that only pick the #1 singles (see the #1 collections for Elvis and The Beatles). They're nice historical pieces, but shouldn't be relied on to provide the essential tracks.

I hate when artists do this (put new material on repackaged CDs). I know that it is done to increase sales from people who already have the other CDs, but it just pisses me off.
I am a huge George Strait fan, and I have about 35 to 40 Strait CDs (I am missing three or four I think), and he has three greatest hits out, and a boxset (off the top of my head anyway). Is there a need for another collection? Grr....

Well, for me this is great. I really like a lot of his music, but don't have any cd's of his. This will be a nice buy for me, I can get the majority of his hits on one cd without having to buy 35 - 40 cd's. Besides, since there is only one new song on it you won't need to drop any cash on this since you should already have all the songs.

I have most of his CDs also except his 1st 3 gr. hits but I'll still get this when it comes out.
I'm sure it will be around $12-$15 in it's first week of release.
