The Lucas Belvaux Trilogy question...

I'm told that the order is:

On The Run
An Amazing Couple
After The Life

The cover art for each has a number in the lower left hand corner. According to the covers, it looks like "Amazing Couple" is the first, "One The Run" is the second, and "After The Life" is third....

Anyone know for sure before I rent this trilogy?

The published scripts and the French DVD indicate the preferred order as "An Amazing Couple," "On the Run," and "After the Life." Internal evidence also indicates that this is the correct order. "An Amazing Couple" begins earlier than the others and "After the Life" ends later than the others.

Great 3 films. Why people say Un couple epatant is a comedy or 'light' I have no idea.

Maybe that's because I watched them in reverse order

Hadn't noticed Belvaux as an actor before, but thought he was great in Cavale (which for me is the heart of the film and where all tangents go off). Maybe Cavale is the best place to start.

Which release are you renting?

I meant which Region

The French disc doesn't have subtitles on the 4th disc (extras) nor on the radio contact between the police and (without spoiling it) other people. This may have been an error by the distributor. It wasn't a problem for me as I understand French. It is basic French so most people will manage fine.

Not sure how they handle the very important* radio communication in the UK release from Tartan.

*It was important for me because it connects parts of the film together.

... they are all R2. Nicheflix carries the French/Benelux version and Daniel was talking about the British set here:
