Recommendations For Japanese And Hong Kong Horror Movies!

I just recently viewed "The Ring" which is about a video tape with strange images that people would watch and after watching it they would receive a call telling them they would die in a week! this movie was real creepy!!
I also have seen "Battle Royal" which is about this class room of kids sent to this island by the goverment and they would each be given a bag with a weapon in it and they would have to fight to the death until there was only one of them left!! Very graphic!!
I have also seen "Sakuya" , a good fantasy period horror movie!
Is there any recommendations for any other horror movies for me to see?? Could you also breifly tell me what it is about?
thanks!
Marlon

I was wondering......these sound good, but I'm not Japanese. So, do you think it's worth it for me to get these titles. I mean the pics look scary and just from what you guys said.

I can't find it - there's Taiwanese versions available through HK distros, but they don't have english subtitles.

JAPANESE HORROR

DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT WHAT THE JAPANESE HORROR FILM "VERSUS" AND "WILD ZERO" IS ABOUT?
I WENT TO DRAGONCON IN ATLANTA,GA AND FOUND THEM SELLING THE RING, THE RING 2, AND RING 0 (THE BEGINING OF THE SERIES!). RING 2 WAS A LITTLE CREEPY. THEY WHERE ALSO SELLING COPIES OF "BATTLE ROYALE"! ITS ABOUT JAPAN MAKING A LAW WHERE THEY WOULD PUT A BUNCH OF STUDENTS ON AN ISLAND WITH EACH GETTING A BAG OF AN UNKNOWN ITEM AND THEY WOULD HAVE TO FIGHT UNTIL THERE WAS ONLY ONE SURVIVOR! IT WAS VERY GRAPHIC AND VIOLENT AND I HAVE HEARD IT WAS BANNED IN CERTAIN COUNTRIES!
HAS ANYONE ELSE SEEN IT OR KNOW WHERE I COULD GET A DVD COPY?

Stumbled onto this site and been flipping through the reviews. Man some of them sound good. Uzumaki, Wild Zero, Versus and other Japanese Zombie horror flix. Anybody know where to get some of the Japanese horror titles?

for pure horror, but not zombie films...

most everyone agrees that Battle royale and ring are freaking awesome.
Battle Royale is a gore fest that's just totally different from any movie in recent memory. similar concept to lord of the flies
ring is awesome horror that gets in ur mind, plus you'll never watch tv after seeing it = o )

I'll definitely second that Ring is by far one of the scarriest films I've ever seen. I ususally don't scare too easily, I watch lots of horror, but this one's gotta take the cake.

As for zombie/horror, I read on asiandvdguide.com forum, that Junk and Versus are two very good ones.

Yeap I've watched The Ring. Very effective. Hollywood is trying to do a remake and I'm sure they'll screw it up.

Will check out asian dvd guide to see if others are available.

Adrena Film has it I think for about 22. I didn't look at their shipping price though, so that might bring the price up alot. If you want to order anything just email them and they will respond in english. Here's the link http://adrenafilm.de/

Charmes. $26.85 shipped. I am weary of Adrenafilms and Diabolik would have been my second choice (domestic they are).

I bought three.

The total shipped was 169.99

169.99 DEM Germany Deutsche Marks = 80.56 USD

Looks like I got a sucky conversion rate

divide by 3

$26.85

Not in a legit version, but there is a bootleg available from a place or two. Mine shipped today with Junk. Hopefully it will be here this weekend or Monday.
