Thank you very much. I have a few DVDs that I would like to display and those will definately do the trick.

Cheers again.

Thanks!
I'm still getting use to watching a DLP (since I've pretty much watch CRT-based units on my life).

HD-DVD looks great. Detail, colors, etc are all there. Contrast levels are also quite nice.

Some of the programming with my TW HD Feed still breaks-up during the flashy concerts (with alot of action in the background). Obviously, this is a TW issue.

Originally, I was looking at the XBR2's, but the overal price and comparable setup drove me to the Toshiba.

Haven't used the speakers at the base of the unit. All my audio is directed to my receiver.

What stand, bookcases, and speakers do you have? And, if you don't mind me asking, how much did they cost and where did you get them?

Very nice setup...one of my favorites. I like the clean look. Its similar to the look I hope to accomplish when I redo mine in the next few months (hopefully).

Nice setup.

My only thing is I would move up that center speaker so that the sounds does not bounce of the stand shelve.

I have the Billy bookcases also (although with two extra shelves). I think they are perfect for DVDs. With the extra shelves DVDs fit with about a half an inch to a full inch, each shelf. All in all one will hold about 360 DVDs.

I was wondering about the glass doors, though. Is there any way to lock them? I want a way to lock my DVDs up, but don't really want to switch away from shelves I'm already very happy with.

I had those too. They look nice, but they are too deep for movies. I dont like the way DVD's look pushed that far back, plus it makes it harder to see whats on the bottom two rows unless you lie down on the floor. They are great for showing goodies, but not so hot for DVDs. Just my 2c.

Why not keep them lined up at the front of the shelf? I also use IKEA bookshelves & it's how I do it.

I put a layer of old VHS tapes in the back, and then the DVDs line up evenly about an inch from the front edge of the shelf. I also put books on the bottom shelves which helps make the bookcase more stable.

The doors don't lock. The hinges just hold them against the front of the bookcase. There's a little gap between the doors when they're closed that might bother some people. Not real high quality, but the overall effect looks nice.

I've been wanting to post my collection in here for a while...
I'm rather proud of my collection being I'm a college student (graduate in a week!!) and still live with my parents..
No HT just a 55" Rear Projection Magnavox

Now the DVDs...
Here are some of the boxsets I have

And some more

Now the rest...

The ones off to the left are a mix of my sister's and my fiancee's...
