Wal-mart TVonDVD Deals (YMMV)

They appear to be revamping the electronics department at my Wal-mart (Williamsburg, VA location) and have reduced the price on most of the DVDs. The $10 DVD display is now $9 and the $7.50 display is now $7 or something like that. Those weren't the greatest deals, so I only made note of the TV-DVDs that were much cheaper.

For $13 dollars they had:

Chappelle's Show S2, S3
In Living Color S1
Gilligan's Island S1
The Fall Guy S1
The Family Guy Stewie movie
M*A*S*H Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen
Reno 911 S2
Roseanne S4,S3,S6
Three's Company S3,S4
3rd Rock from the Sun S2
Dukes of Hazzard S1
Wonder Woman S3

That was in one display. The other I found I don't remember all the seasons but this is what I am sure of was 14.95:

For 14.95
Saved by the Bell S1+2, S3, S4+5
All seasons of Dawson's Creek
Mad About You S1,S2,S3 (S3 is 13.00)
Will & Grace S1,S2,S3
Flipper S1

They also had 4 or 5 seasons of King of the Hill for that price but I don't recall which. They had a few other dvds at that price (I'm thinking Dynasty) but I can't remember. If I go back today, I'll post the additional titles.

I too noticed this today too on my trip to pick up Book of Secrets. They have axed all extraneous amounts on the racks outside of the dvd aisle. All films that were something like $9.74 are now $9.00, all were $13.85 now $13.00 and $7. Found it odd that they were all even. I saw the tv display too and was surprised to see it. Some decent deals to be found there, I can't really afford it right now though.

My store has actually been like that for a few months now, I thought it was commonplace. I did stop in today however, and there were barely any dvd's in my walmart to be had, looked like they were revamping the whole place.

Figures. My $15 copy from Amazon finally shipped last week.

Oh, well. Maybe I'll pick up Gilligan's Island for the "I hope to get around to watching this decade" pile. Thanks, OP.

Picked up Three's Company S2 and S3 as well as 3rd Rock S2 Monday. For $13.00 each, I couldn't pass them up. Only one of the four Wal*Mart Supercenters in town had the display, however - the rest had no $13.00 TV DVD sets at all as of yesterday.

I should go check out the Wal-mart in Newport News. If I want a movie or tv show that stars more than two black people I have to find it there. I've gotten some great cheap Pam Grier movies there.

If I ever want anything super rednecky, I can go to the Glouchester Wal-mart.

We love the stereotypes 'round these parts.

The two Wal-Marts nearest me recently overhauled their movie section and the larger Walley seems to have gotten rid their TV-on-DVD section. The only ones they have now are some of those $13.00 ones on that 'I' shaped rack. Ironically, the smaller Wal-Mart still has a small TV-on-DVD section with the newer releases like Bill Engvall show season 1.
