so is Halloween ($4.99) the 2-disc set? I know it's a small chance but you can never be so sure...

Nothing great.

The $599 PS3 price means
1. They didn't want it to get leaked
2. It was a last minute decision.

It's going to be really hard to not get into HD-DVD next week. The 360 add-on /w 5 free movies *AND* free Heroes S1 is going to be a tough thing to pass up, even if I already have Heroes on SD DVD.

$22.49 for the Meet The Robinsons Blu-ray. Not bad for a new release.

Hmm, I can still get the Kubrick set online for $10 less, so that's a bummer, but they have a phenomenal price on Young Indiana Jones.

I'll probably still get Indiana Jones during the DD sale, but I'm going to pick up Aladdin, that's a good price for the Platinum Edition.

I'll definitely have to pickup the 360 HD Player. That really is too good to pass on.

Where did you see the BD deals? I didn't see any sales other than some of the new releases on the left inset.

Looking at it that way, this is an awesome deal. Too bad I already own the player, but like you said, I could always sell the new one. Can anybody confirm that the 5 free movie offer still stands?

I was at my local Best Buy tonight checking out the BD deals and I saw that both Layer Cake and The Patriot BDs were both on sale this week for $14.99 each.

This reflects a "2 for $30 sale" online as well that includes both of these:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....at133300050026

Furthermore, there were other BD titles marked at $14.99 B&M that are not on that offer page. The ones I remember are Big Fish, A Knight's Tale, A Few Good Men, Stealth, and XXX. There may be a couple I forgot. These extra ones may be regional so YMMV.

$54.99 with an exclusive book. $99.99 for the HD and BD versions.

Also as part of the deal, Seasons 1-3 are $39.99 and 4-6, Part 1 are $44.99 each.

As alarming as that is, I'm more scared that BB now sells FASHION BAGS! Well, I won't ever have to twist my GF's arm to go to BB anymore...

360 HD DVD Player for me. 180$ for a player, Heroes Season 1 and 5 HD DVDs is too good for me to hold off. I had no plans to buy a Bluray or HD player anytime soon either until I saw this thread.

Depending on the contents of the book, maybe Sopranos 6.2 as well. If the book is nothing special, I'll be picking up Sopranos at a later date at a CD Warehouse "used."

He said $10 less, not $10.

As far as the Layer Cake/Patriot deal for $30, FYE has all Sony Blu-Ray titles on sale at half off. These two titles are also $15 at FYE. If you have a Backstage Pass, you'll get another 10% off. I just picked up Bram Stoker's Dracula, Underworld and Final Fantasy for $13.49 each.

It says "Save $20 instantly" so I assume it's $20.99.

No, it says $20 off a purchase of 2 of those titles. So it's really $30.99, and you're forced to buy another title...

That 360 HD add on is too good to pass up, although Im still kinda hesitant becasue I dont have an Elite and obviously dont have it hooked up via HDMI. Might have to stick with my upconvert.

If I didn't have Heroes S1 on regular DVD, I'd probably be in for the 360 external...but my upconverting player does a pretty good job for Heroes.

In for Mr. Brooks/Eyes Wide Shut/Hostel II (maybe)/Mysterio.
