heres the trailer that the view askew website put out
http://www.viewaskew.com/tv/evening/evening.mov
looks like it could be just as funny, maybe better then the first one.

Man it looks great but i noticed a guy brought Kevin a box of Timbits from Tim Hortons lol,i hope the crowd doesnt start chanting "Go Leafs Go!" like when Conan came up here to Canada,i mean i like hockey too but that was embarrassing.

I tried to get tickets for the Toronto show, but it sold out instantly.

Anyway, the first "Evening With.." DVD is excellent, very rewatchable, so I would definitely pick up the second one.

They're not shooting the London show until either January or February. One of those two months, I just forget which. I would expect a DVD release around Christmas 2005, similar to the first DVD a few years ago.
I am pissed off through about the entire thing being a Las Vegas resident. Originally, An Evening With Kevin Smith 2 was supposed to consist of the Toronto show, the London show, and a Las Vegas show. Sadly, it's just going to be the Toronto and London show. Maybe it's because when Kevin did a Q&A for Clerks back in Vegas in August to promote the DVD; there weren't that many people there. Eh, who knows. Sure I got to ask a question (probably the only serious question there); but I wanted to be a complete goofball for the DVD! GODDAMNIT!
I'll still buy the DVD through...

at the Kevin Smith Q&A at Wondercon in San Francisco, Kevin mentioned something about this. I don't think a definite release date was mentioned, I think it was planned for late this year as another poster mentioned.

There was a tidbit on News Askew that said that Columbia/TriStar might release it at the same time Universal released the Mallrats X disc.... which I don't think has a specific date yet, either.

How'd I miss this thread the first time around? This sounds cool. I saw him live a couple years ago when they recorded the first one. Definitely entertaining, and re-watchable.

That one's due out in late September, right? Does anybody know if they've finished filming these segments yet? If not, they're going to be pushing it really close if they're trying to have these releases coincide with one another...

Nice to see this thread as I just got the original via the DDD sale. I'll probably watch it this week, but I checked out the first few minutes and I can only hope that not ALL the people asking questions are as creepy or obnoxious as the first few I saw.

I don't know if this helps much, but there's an evening with Kevin Smith scheduled for November 21, 2005 in Calgary (that's in Canada...). Strange thing is, it's the ONLY date scheduled in all of North America (check ticketmaster.ca and ticketmaster.com).

I'll give him all the money he wants. I'd buy as many of these releases as they pumped out, as long as they remained as funny, informative, and entertaining as the first.

That being said, the stories he tells makes up for the idiots. Especially the Superman story at the end of disc one and the Prince story on disc 2.

I played the original in the background as I was working on one of my client's sites the other night. It was worth the purchase for the Jon Peters and Prince stories in my opinion. BUT, damn do I wish I could just bitch slap the "typical" Kevin Smith fan. I love the man, but it's so hard to come out and say it for fear of being put in the same pool as some of these people (check out his web board for a real scare).
