I was planning to get the 50th anniversary edition of Forbidden Planet for $5 along with Blade Runner.... but on Best Buy.com, the offer is NOT for the 50th anniversary edition but for the older edition! Ugh. Not such a good deal after all. To make things more confusing... the dvd featured in the $5 bonus deal on their website is listed as "50th anniversary edition" but the picture is for the older version. I wonder if they might honor the real 50th anniversary edition in-store as part of the deal.

Bourne Ultimatum not good enough for you?

Bourne Ultimatum, Transformers, Harry Potter, and Disturbia are probably the best titles out of what, 15? Like I said. Most of the titles suck wet smelly ass. We're talkin' HD here, not SD DVD titles Best Buy is selling for $6.99. Add maybe 20 more titles, and I'd be excited. But this B1G1 kinda sucks.
I suppose this sale is intended for first-time HD DVD enthusiasts who just purchased their HD-A2 a while back, but for those of us who have a few HD DVDs already, a larger title selection would be nice.

per "thejester" in the Amazon BOGO thread, he states that if you ring up the lower price HD title the other one will ring up free, no matter if costs more or not.
Anyone try this? I know it's worked before.

I'm amazed you got them to take the 12% coupon as well.

) are extremely limited in their selections compared to the Blu sales which have consisted of everything under the sun at one point or another, and certainly don't offer up much incentive for HD owners to buy, unless, as you said, are a brand new adoptee.

I was actually denied the $5 manufacturer's coupon today, not because it was a printout, but because they don't combine deals. I wanted to know why, because they will get reimbursed for the coupon so it makes no sense. I asked to speak to a manager, and she claimed to be the manager on duty. Her nametag did not say manager, so I said I wouldn't leave until she got an actual manager. I said it nicely without raising my voice. She actually threatened to call the police for trespassing! I am going to be writing a nasty letter about Krystal...

Since the span is on $5, then there won't be that much of a savings - not like the sets one a while back.
I noticed this on the receipt I got for my HDs (HP: OOP & Oceans 13). I would go back & return both sets of titles I got, but I used RZ coupons & they won't get credited back to me, so I'm stuck - only out $3 tho'.

Looks like Crank may be the title to get ... based on what is left at my local Best Buy.
Before I picked up my online order in-store, I checked out what what still around. Although a couple titles were low of stock, only Crank was sold out.
Also, I tried to get Shrek the Third and another title AND use the $5 off Shrek HD-DVD, but the clerk scanned the other title first even though Shrek was on top ... so it didn't work.

I went in and picked up Transformers, Shrek the Third, Bourne Ultimatum, and Harry Potter OotP. I tried to use the $5 coupons for Transformers and Shrek the Third, but they kept coming up as $0.00. She handed one back saying it wouldn't work because the movie was ringing up at $0.00. But neither coupon seemed to be working. I asked if she could ring them up so that the two I had coupons for wouldn't be the free ones, so she gladly cleared some of the movies out and rang them up seperately (Shrek the Third and Bourne Ultimatum on one transaction and Transformers and Harry Potter on the other). The coupons still wouldn't work, and the clerk said that she didn't know if she could use the coupon because of the deal and that they had to be the same price. I told her they were for equal or lesser value, so she just marked $5 off Shrek the Third manually. But when she did the Transformers/Harry Potter, Transformers was the free one (I don't know if it was because she rang Harry Potter up 1st or because it was the higher one). I wasn't going to argue the point of ringing up Transformers up first, since it was supposed to be the free one. But she ended up knocking $5 off of Harry Potter to make up the difference! I used a $5 RZ certificate to get another $5 off, so I got out with 4 movies for $50. I'm supposed to have another $5 RZ certificate coming my way, soon. The website listed it as being issued under my points, but it's not in the print section yet. I'm hoping that it becomes available by the end of the week, and I'll try to order Evan Almighty and Knocked Up for $20. My wife wants Evan Almighty, but neither of us care about Knocked Up. Maybe we can try to take it to Wal-Mart for an exchange or sell it.

is the "Forbidden Planet: Unrated >>>> $17.99" that you can get for $5.00 with BR, the 2-disc new edition that came out just sometime ago?
#223
The website brings us to the old versions of THX and Forbidden Planet. You might be able to argue for the 2-disc of THX since that's the one that's pictured in the ad. Not sure about FP.

Well, don't know if BB fixed the "flaw" (like that'll happen this quick?), or maybe it was the combination of my 2 checkout items, but I couldn't get the freebie to be the higher priced item tonight. I went with Transformers & Shooter. She scanned Trans. first & after she clicked yes for the b0g0 popup, Trans. showed $0.
Anyone else have better luck?
